A submission victory over Mac Danzig at Ultimate Fight Night 17 has earned fighter Josh Neer a new contract with the UFC, along with $30,000 in his pocket for his performance in that fight. MMAjunkie.com is reporting that the agreement is a four fight contract but the financial terms were not disclosed. Neer was out of the UFC two times before, following losses to both Nick and Nate Diaz.

A New Years Day arrest hasn’t slowed down Josh Neer, as he is 5-1 in his last 6 fights. Neer, however, is still stuck on the bottom rung of the division, having been unable to escape the gate keeper moniker. His next opponent has not been announced.
